OUR HANDCRAFTED PROCESS
All of our furniture pieces are Handcrafted and made to
order. Strong solid construction with your choice of woods, custom sizes
and finishes to meet the most exacting specifications.
We take great care in our wood selection, it is all from renewable lumber
sources and we purchase the lumber in the maximum width from a local supplier.
98% of all materials used in construction are made in the U.S.A.
We use all energy efficient methods utilizing age-old techniques and hand tools.
All woods are carefully selected for the piece to be crafted and then milled in
our shop. We try to leave as much rough sawn character as possible in each of
our pieces. Table tops are hand planed, sanded and then finished with commercial
grade finishes, using a six step aging process, which maintains it's beauty for
years and gives that beautiful antique reproduction look. Plus our finishes are
easy to care for.
We use mortise and tennon joinery along with metal corner brackets and machine
threaded inserts and bolts
allow for sound stability and ease in assembly.
Sliders and other hardware are used to allow for wood movement, which is
critical in solid wood furniture.
